Reward Program Recommendations

Let’s talk rewards, y’all.

I love rewards programs. I love the idea of getting something free, and I love feeling special having status like “Gold Card” and “Platinum Member.” It is easy to get sucked in to these programs, or to know which ones are worth it. I personally have a lot of favourites, but today, I want to share the top 2 best ones that I’m really into right now.

These amazing programs that literally give you something for almost nothing, and you will see the rewards stack up, which you can literally cash in!

1. Carrot Rewards

(Note: only available in BC, Ontario, and Saskatchewan)

This is an app where you do little surveys and track your steps. For each survey or day that you reach your step goal, you get 1-15 points that you can either put towards your Scene card (free movies!), Save-On points, or Aeroplan miles.

This sounded like a total scam when I first heard about it, but it’s been awesome! I’ve earned over 2,000 Scene points, which is the equivalent of two free movies. I open this app once a while, do a few surveys, and also keep track of my steps (which gives me points every day if I reach my goal!) and literally get free movies. It’s amazing.

2. Ebates

(Note: This link only works for Canadian Ebates, although there is a U.S. Ebates, which I don’t use.)

Another thing that seemed like a total scam, but this has been awesome! If you do a lot of online shopping, this is a way to get free money. GUYS. FREE MONEY.

You make an account, and then before you buy something online, you click through Ebates and it keeps track of your trips. You get 2-5% cash back on every purchase, and after a few months, they literally mail you a cheque. GUYS. THEY MAIL YOU FREE MONEY.

This has been so great. I bought some electronics last year, and on one purchase, I earned $20 in FREE cash. For literally buying something I would buy anyways. Amazing.

I’ve earned almost $200 through this, and I’m not a prolific online shopper. This is an easy way to make a few extra dollars on things you’ll buy anyways!

Note: You get $4 back for every Expedia booking – which helps when you are booking flights on a budget!

Note: There are affiliate links in this blog. Each program has a referral system, where if you sign up, I get points or cash in my account. However, you will also get points and cash when you sign up, so I see it as a win-win! No pressure to use these links, just wanted to let you know what you’re clicking on!
